I used to think that Malaysian Airlines is the best, with the widest seats, smiling and friendly cabin crew, good customer service. What kind of customer service do MAS provide? Either they are not trained properly or not provided with the correct information. I was given the option of either to purchase a new ticket or do not go home for Christmas!!Ĭan you imagine the financial strain /stress! Not everyone have the kind of money to spend as and when they like. NOW AT THIS VERY LAST MOMENT, I was told that it cannot be done!! I am now in a dilemma. I was told to change the date and a small service fee will be charged. I called up to enquire if I were to buy another ticket to Perth (one way), can I use the previous ticket (Sydney-Malaysia) to return to Malaysia? Furthermore since I have to go back to Australia in January, can I use the Malaysia to Sdyney (booked ) and changed the date to January instead? I was given a very AFFIRMATIVE YES. Suddenly I was required to go to Perth earlier. I booked a ticket from Malaysia to Sydney, and return. I called to enquire whether the following scenario can be done -Įg. I am really disappointed with the information that the customer service (tol free number) given. To make the story short, I am very disappointed with how the Malaysian Airlines dealt with me at their home base, when all the resources and facilities are accessible by them. They printed for me the boarding pass for tomorrow's flight but refused to give me any accommodation or complementary meals or a shuttle bus or anything of that. So I said, OK What I need now is a confirmation on tomorrows flight and a convenient accommodation. I was arguing with people who clearly do not know the ABC of customer service and they were not very keen to promote and Airline's reputation. We argued for sometime but they they were not apologetic in any way they were trying to explain to me how my travel agent failed to confirm my booking. Then they were talking to each other for about an hour from person to person and at the end they said the plane is full ! What ? Look it is not my fault, I said. ![]() Luckily enough I kept my boarding pass in my bag and I showed it to them as evidence that I have already taken the flight. I had a confirmed booking from KL to Jeddah on Dec 24, however, upon checking-in the staff told me that my booking was cancelled because I was not able to take the first leg of the flight (no-show) as they claim.
